I did a previous roundup of high fiber dense bean salad recipes because I noticed a real difference in how I felt when I made an effort to eat more fiber. More energy, better digestion, just overall felt better.
I have also been adding a fiber supplement to my daily routine and between that and the bean salads, more fruit, etc.– I stay full way longer than I used to. No one necessarily needs a fiber supplement but it is an easy habit to maintain when you can just stir it into your morning coffee and not taste it at all.
So I wanted to keep the fiber maxing theme going into fall with soups because when the weather cools down I want something warm and filling that still gives me that same fiber boost.

HOW TO SNEAK MORE FIBER INTO YOUR DIET:
Getting enough fiber doesn’t require a whole new meal plan. I find it easier to sneak it into meals I’m already making so it becomes a habit I actually keep up with.
ADD A FIBER SUPPLEMENT
I take the loam fiber supplement with my coffee in the morning. It’s the easiest no-effort way to stay on track. It’s been about three weeks since starting it and I like that it has zero taste and there’s no goopy texture to it. and just like that I start the day with 10 grams of fiber. *easy*
MAKE IT A CUTE LITTLE RITUAL
I have an apple almost every night and it’s become a cute little ritual I look forward to, and my dog has decided it’s her ritual too…… so I have half an apple a night..
ADD A SMALL SERVING TO ANY MEAL
Keeping a bean salad in the fridge is a game changer. I add a small side serving for lunch or dinner. It doesn’t always match the rest of the plate but that’s fine.
ADD QUINOA TO YOUR RICE
I Know brown rice is healthier but it tastes and FEELS like cardboard so I stick to white rice and add quinoa to it so it’s just a tiny bit healthier.
CHIA SEEDS EVERYWHERE
Chia seeds or flaxseed are great stirred into smoothies, yogurt, or oatmeal. They blend right into the texture without changing the taste. I did try the hack where you blend the chia seeds to make them a bit easier on your digestion but the texture was too slimy so i’ll stick to chia seeds in my yogurt.
ADD VEGGIES FOR EASY GAINS
Tossing frozen spinach into soups, eggs, or pasta sauce is another easy move. It wilts down to almost nothing but still adds a few extra grams. I’ll also add beans to a recipe if they don’t throw off the flavor.. (see #13)
MAKE POPCORN A DESSERT/SNACK
I never aim for healthy 100% of the time so popcorn with toppings is a total win. It’s actually a solid source of fiber, which makes it an even easier snack to indulge in. But sometimes plain butter gets boring.
